Johnny Manziel hits Cleveland night hotspot after Cavaliers game

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel attended last night’s Cleveland Cavaliers game and then hit a late night hotspot, according to TMZ Sports.

Relax, fans, critics, anyone who keeps tabs on the former first-round pick. He wasn’t seen partying hard. Per TMZ, Manziel just hung out with friends and watched some basketball. There was no chugging champagne, no taking shots, nothing out of the ordinary save for staying out past 1 in the morning.

Manziel was benched earlier this season after he was caught on video making quite a bit of merry in Austin during the Browns’ bye week, not too long after being named Cleveland’s starting quarterback for the rest of the season. He then sat out two games before finally being put back on the field and led the Browns to a 24-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Though his partying has always been something of a concern ever since the Browns drafted him last year, Manziel does indeed appear committed to becoming a better person and football player. Sure, he was out late last night, but he didn’t go crazy, just hung out and watched some hoops.

Hopefully, this new Manziel sticks around permanently.
