Todd McShay doesn’t think Robert Nkemdiche will be hurt by incident

This past weekend, it was reported that star Ole Miss defensive end Robert Nkemdiche had suffered a pretty scary incident. He fell off the side of a hotel in Atlanta and suffered minor injuries after the incident.

After Nkemdiche was rushed to the hospital, police investigated his room and found marijuana cigarettes lying around the room.

Nkemdiche was later charged with marijuana possession.

In speaking with NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay during a conference call on Thursday, he said that he doesn’t think it will hurt him in terms of draft stock.

“If he checks out with work ethic and there’s no concern at all with those other things, then teams will put it in perspective,” McShay said. “He needs to be smart and realize what’s at stake. If everything checks out from a work-ethic standpoint and an intangibles standpoint, I don’t think it’ll have any major effect on where he winds up drafted.”

Nkemdiche is considered a top prospect for the Draft next April, so as long as he keeps his nose clean, he will stay right where he is. For now, however, it’s probably best Nkemdiche doesn’t start climbing the sides of buildings, especially not with marijuana left behind in his room.
