Jahlil Okafor surprised former teammate at NBA D-League game

Loyalty to your college program never dies. You build a special bond with teammates during your collegiate career and a sense of school pride that you carry with you for the rest of your life.

For Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor, that bond with a former teammate led to him surprising a member of the Duke Blue Devils basketball family over the weekend.

Okafor visited his former Duke teammate, Quinn Cook, who went undrafted and is currently fighting for a spot in the NBA.

Okafor’s visit came as Cook was playing in the NBA’s D-League for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the guard took to social media to share a photo of the two national champions on the court after the game.

It’s great to see former teammates sticking with each other and supporting the players who were a part of such a valuable experience in their lives.

Kudos to Okafor!
