4-star LB TJ Brunson de-commits from Louisville

Class of 2016 three-star linebacker TJ Brunson, out of Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, South Carolina, has de-committed from Louisville, according to a post on his Twitter.

Brunson had been committed to the Cardinals since July and also has offers in hand from Georgia Southern, N.C. State, North Carolina, Appalachian State, East Carolina and South Carolina. The Gamecocks are the most intriguing option here for a couple of reasons. First, Brunson lives in Columbia. But more importantly, he was new Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp’s first visit after being hired a few weeks back.

There have been no further developments on Brunson’s future and recruitment since his announcement, but there’s no doubt that South Carolina is the wild card here. Be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates!
