Stores are practically giving away RG3 jerseys

It’s pretty crazy how far Robert Griffin III has fallen since coming into the league. He was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012, but he also had another pretty big accomplishment that year as well. He, at the time, held the NFL’s record for most rookie jersey sales.

That’s obviously not the case anymore as his time with the Washington Redskins has all but ended.

That became apparent on Sunday when one fan posted a picture of a clearance rack full of RG3 jerseys for just $3.

I know his run here is over but $3 jerseys? A Lego Mini Bryce Harper was $5 #Redskins #HTTR pic.twitter.com/hAmW4SBW63

To really put things into perspective, Griffin, who hasn’t played all year, will make over $3.2 million, while Kirk Cousins, who has led the team to a 7-7 record and sole possession of first place in the NFC East, will make less than $700,000.

#RG3 has not played & will make $3,269,877 this #NFL season. Kirk Cousins will make $660,000 this season. #Redskins

Well, at least RG3 has at least three teams looking to bring him in next offseason.
