Tyrann Mathieu out for season after tearing ACL

The Arizona Cardinals are surprisingly one of the best teams in the NFC this year. They are 12-2 and just won the NFC West Sunday night after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 40-17 and it’s thanks mostly in part to their defense.

Cornerback Tyrann Mathieu has been one of the team’s best players this year and he just suffered a devastating injury. He went down with an apparent knee injury in the game and it was reported by Ian Rapoport that he would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

This is the second time Mathieu has torn his ACL as he missed the rest of his rookie season with the same injury. This season, Mathieu has recorded 80 tackles, one sack, five interceptions, and one defensive touchdown.

Campus Sports would like to send their well wishes to Mathieu. We hope you have a quick and speedy recovery.
