“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has taken the country by storm the last few days and everyone seems to love the way the movie was done. As someone who has yet to see it, I personally can’t wait, but that isn’t what this about.
This is about something else that has swept the nation: the Monmouth basketball bench. The guys on the Hawks’ bench really know how to have fun even when they may never get the chance to play.
During Sunday’s 73-67 win over Rutgers, the guys were at it again. They celebrated a Je’lon Hornbeak three-pointer by performing a Darth Vader choke and it was awesome.

They have certainly been entertaining fans all season long and they are now truly giving them what they want. They have started taking requests.
@RyanAStevens we love it

If everyone thought that what the bench was doing was a distraction, it isn’t. The Hawks are 8-3 with wins over Georgetown, UCLA, and top 25 opponent, Notre Dame.
