Wisconsin QB Joel Stave accepts invitation to Shrine Game

The East/West Shrine Game is always a great platform for the senior football players to show off their skills once last time before heading to the NFL Draft Combine. This year’s game is loaded with talent, especially at the quarterback position.

The game added on to their impressive list of names at the position on Monday. They announced via Twitter that Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave had accepted an invitation to the game.

Stave joins a list that includes Western Kentucky’s Brandon Doughty, NC State’s Jacoby Brisset, and Arkansas’s Brandon Allen.

This year, Stave struggled by only throwing for 2,470 yards and ten touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He will hope to improve on that in the game on January 23 at 4 p.m. EST on NFL Network from St. Petersburg, Florida.
