Boise State just accomplished an awesome feat

The Boise State Broncos certainly haven’t had the season that many people thought they would have. However, the team did finish the season 8-4 and are playing the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl against Northern Illinois right now.

Coming into the game, quarterback Brett Rypien needed only 24 yards to get to 3,000 on the season. He hit running back Jeremy McNichols with a 39-yard bomb to push him over the mark, but it also gave the team a pretty cool feat.

On the year, McNichols has 1,273 yards on the ground, including a 29-yard touchdown run against the Huskies in their bowl game. Wide receiver, Thomas Sperbeck, also has 1,334 yards through the air.

It looks like the Broncos are back on the rise in the Mountain West and they hope to get back into the premiere of the country. Rypien, Sperbeck, and McNichols certainly looks like they could be helping them get there.
