The Notre Dame Fighting Irish suffered a big loss in the early part of the year when quarterback Malik Zaire went down with a broken ankle. He hasn’t played since the injury and it’s likely that he won’t play in the team’s Fiesta Bowl game against Ohio State.
Despite him not being able to do any real physical activity, Zaire is still dedicated to the craft. According to Nick Ironside of 247Sports, head coach Brian Kelly said that Zaire has not missed a practice or meeting since the injury.

Zaire will have a lot of competition when he returns in the spring with DeShone Kizer and Brandon Wimbush, but he shouldn’t be worried. If he continues to show this dedication to the team, there is no doubt that Zaire will once again be the starter for the 2016 season.
