The NFL is starting to announce fines from this past weekend’s action and one of the first to be announced comes as no surprise. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman has been hit with two separate fines.
Norman has been fined $8,681 for a facemask and $17,363 for striking an opponent in the head/neck area.
Norman and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had a back-and-forth for the entire game on Sunday, which ultimately ended with a few shots being traded, a huge cheap shot from Beckham which landed him a suspension and, ultimately, a Panthers win.
While Beckham will be serving out his suspension this weekend, Norman will be on the field against the Atlanta Falcons, who have two impressive receivers of their own in Julio Jones and Roddy White.
That will be must-see television.
