DeShone Kizer reveals motivation for playing Ohio State

|

Earlier this year, Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer was thrown into the proverbial fire as the team’s starting quarterback when Malik Zaire went down with a broken ankle. He has done a fantastic job for the Fighting Irish and has led them to the 2016 Fiesta Bowl.

Kizer will be going up against the Ohio State Buckeyes, a team he grew up idolizing as he is from Toledo, Ohio.

Despite being a four-star recruit from Central Catholic, he was not offered a scholarship from the Buckeyes and he says that he is using that as motivation.

His comments are probably going to be used as sort of motivation for the Buckeyes and their fan base. This only means that this game should be all the more entertaining.

The Fiesta Bowl kicks off at 1 p.m. EST on January 1 on ESPN from Glendale, Arizona.
