UCLA OL Alex Redmond signs with agent, won’t play in bowl game

The UCLA Bruins are entering their final stages of preparation for a meeting with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Foster Farms Bowl on Dec. 26. Unfortunately, they will need to fill a huge void along the offensive line.

According to a report from Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register, offensive lineman Alex Redmond will not be playing in the bowl game.

The reason? Redmond has signed with an agent and will begin his preparation for the 2016 NFL Draft.

UCLA OG Alex Redmond won’t play in the Foster Farms Bowl, according to @thejackwang. The junior left the team and signed with an agent.

This makes protecting quarterback Josh Rosen from the Nebraska defense a much tougher task and it will be interesting to see how the offensive line performs after the last-minute shakeup.
