Connecticut Huskies center Amidah Brimah has a broken finger and will be out 6-8 weeks. Brimah’s injury was reported on Twitter.
Brimah, a junior seven-footer from Miami, is averaging 7.8 points and 5.2 rebounds to go with three blocks per game this year. In his absence, Shonn Miller and leading rebounder Daniel Hamilton will likely see extended time in the paint along with junior Kentan Facey.
Needless to say, with the AAC shaping up to be quite competitive this year, Brimah is a huge loss for the Huskies and his dominance above the rim will be greatly missed.
