Vermont’s Dre Wills suspended 8 games for reselling textbooks

Well, this is an interesting development.

On Thursday afternoon, reports surfaced that Vermont Catamounts freshman Dre Willis has been suspended for eight games. The reason? Reselling textbooks. Seriously.

Vermont head coach John Becker said he supports the decision to suspend Wills for the NCAA violation.

While Wills has to be punished for a rules violation, it is ridiculous that the suspension is set to last eight games. The good news for the Catamounts, however, is that Wills will only miss the next five games after sitting out the previous three.

The freshman from Indianapolis is averaging  6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds on the season.
