Kentucky players call Rupp Arena’s atmosphere today ‘the best’

Kentucky’s men’s basketball team took on in-state rival Louisville today at Rupp Arena, and players have been calling the building’s atmosphere during the game “the best they’ve been a part of,” according to Jeff Drummond of Scout.

The crowd was certainly electrifying, to say the least. The game was very back-and-forth with minimal pulling away by either team, as Kentucky won 75-73 on the back of 21 points and eight assists by Ulis, who stepped up tremendously after freshman Isaiah Briscoe tweaked an ankle during warm-ups.

Needless to say, though ugly, Kentucky got a much-needed win today after falling to unranked Ohio State last weekend and given how it managed to hold off fast and feisty Louisville, that loss to the Buckeyes could very well become quickly forgotten.
