Colorado State wide receiver Rashard Higgins is likely headed for the NFL Draft following the Rams’ matchup with Nevada in the Arizona Bowl. Kelly Lyell of The Coloradoan reported the development.
Higgins, who hails from the Dallas area, has done quite well for himself in three years with the Rams. He has 229 receptions for 3,519 yards and 31 touchdowns playing in that spread offense and though there’d certainly be some sort of adjustment period, his talent is obviously there.
Higgins also has solid size for his position at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, so putting on some weight and adding a strong performance at February’s NFL Scouting Combine could up his stock tremendously.
But Higgins himself has not confirmed nor denied the rumors, keeping his lone statement simple.
“I haven’t made any decisions, but you all stayed tuned for that,” he said after a Dec. 17 practice.
