Report: Navy’s Ken Niumatalolo receives raise after spurning BYU

-

Navy Midshipmen head coach Ken Niumatalolo weighed an offer from the BYU Cougars, before ultimately deciding to return to Annapolis.

Now, according to reports, Niumatalolo is being rewarded by the service academy by his decision to return.

The Capital Gazette is reporting that Niumatalolo is set to receive a pay raise that will bump his salary from around $1.7 million per year to $2 million. There are no official reports on the new financial terms, however.

This season, Navy went 10-2 this regular season and 7-1 in American Athletic Conference play.
