Florida RB Jordan Scarlett suspended for bowl game

The Florida Gators are preparing to play the Michigan Wolverines in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl and they are seeing players get suspended left and right. According to a report from Thomas Goldkamp, the latest suspension is freshman running back Jordan Scarlett. He has reportedly been suspended due to possession of marijuana.

During the 2015 season, Scarlett recorded 34 carries for 181 yards and a touchdown.

Looking at those numbers, there is no question that Scarlett has a chance to become a quality football player. That alone could save him a spot with the Gators moving forward.

Make sure to tune in and watch the Citrus Bowl on ABC at 1:00 p.m. ET on January 1st.
