Ryan Mallett to start for Ravens against Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens have certainly had a tough time with their quarterback position the last few weeks since Joe Flacco went down with a torn ACL in November. They have tried both Jimmy Clausen and Matt Schaub at the position and they will go with a third different quarterback today against division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Ravens will start newly signed quarterback Ryan Mallett. The team signed him earlier this week and he is getting thrown right into the fire.

Mallett started four games for the Houston Texans this season. He was replaced by Brian Hoyer after a bad performance and was eventually cut after missing a team flight.

Mallett has thrown for 770 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions this year.
