Multimedia superstar and WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will appear at Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas this coming April, according to a post on Johnson’s Instagram.
IT’S OFFICIAL: People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN. Ok that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s sayin’.. . THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It’s always an honor coming home and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. #PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses
Suddenly, despite a great deal of top talent out with injuries, this show has become required viewing. The Rock has not been seen on WWE television since appearing at Wrestlemania 31 last year and cutting a promo against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, with an assist to MMA superstar Ronda Rousey, and he hasn’t wrestled since losing the WWE Championship to John Cena at Wrestlemania 29 in 2013, though that can be chalked up due to injury and he has since recovered and made part-time appearances since.
But what will the Rock be doing at 32, which is set to go down at AT&T Stadium? Will he host? Will he do another interruption like he did last year? Will he and Triple H finally headline the company’s biggest event of the year?
Only time will tell, especially with three months left until the big day, so stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates!
