2016 NFL Draft: Five targets for the Carolina Panthers

First Round — Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State

There’s no question that the Panthers need to go out and find another elite receiver for their MVP quarterback to throw to. Ted Ginn Jr. continuously dropped passes throughout the season and Newton didn’t have Kelvin Benjamin, who was out with a knee injury, this season.

So, why not go out and get an explosive receiver like J.T. Barrett’s favorite target? If Benjamin comes back healthy and the Panthers land Thomas, this could be a scary receiving corps in the NFC South for years to come.
