2016 NFL Draft: Five targets for the New York Giants

First Round — Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson

It’s becoming more obvious that Jason Pierre-Paul likely won’t be with the Giants, if not out of the NFL, for the 2016 season and beyond. Since Justin Tuck left, the Giants haven’t had a terrific edge rusher.

Lawson can provide the spark their defense needs while putting pressure on the quarterback and stopping the run game. In 2015, Lawson led the nation with 24.5 tackles for loss, which is a stat that will raise the eyebrows of any NFL scout.
