2. Tyler Matakevich


If you want a player that can be consistent year in and year out and carry a team on his back, Matakevich is certainly one of them. He recorded at least 100 tackles in all four seasons with Temple and that came to a head last season.

He brought in 138 tackles, 16 for loss, and five sacks on the year. That helped win him the Nagurski, Bednarik, and AAC Defensive Player of the Year awards.
