NFL Mock Draft 2016: Latest rumors and projections

17. Atlanta Falcons: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson

Dan Quinn is a defensive coach, and you just know he’d love to add some more pieces to his up-and-coming defensive unit. The offense is in place in Atlanta, and Lawson could come in and help solidify a young defense that already has Vic Beasley.

Lawson is one of the best pure pass rushers available in the draft. He’ll give the Falcons a major advantage against slower offensive tackles. He also has the strength to get away from the more agile tackles. People may think he drops out of the first round because of his injury and late-season production, but I see him staying in the first round by the end of it all.
