NFL Mock Draft 2016: Latest rumors and projections

18. Indianapolis Colts: Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana

Speaking of franchise quarterbacks that get hit too much, Andrew Luck goes down far too often. Spriggs is a player that will, for the lack of a better term, bully defensive linemen, and keep them away from his quarterback.

It’s still unclear whether he fits more as a tackle or guard at the next level, but there is no denying that the Colts need help at both positions. Bringing in Spriggs now gives the Colts someone who wouldn’t necessarily need to start right away, but also a player that could be a day-one starter if needed.
