Heisman Trophy 2016: Top five candidates from the SEC

1. Leonard Fournette, RB. LSU

Fournette has a number of statistics that back him up as one of the top running backs in the country this year and he should end up getting an invite to New York in December. He seems to have an even better offensive line in front of him and the weapons on the LSU offense should relive some of his pressure, which makes him all the more dangerous.

In 2015, Fournette was second in the SEC and third in the nation with 1,953 yards, while leading the country with 186 yards per game.
