After less than a year on the job, former Syracuse athletic director Mark Coyle decided to take the same job at the University of Minnesota. The decision irked Syracuse fans, so they surely were not happy when Coyle moved across the country with a gigantic Gophers equipment truck.
According to Syracuse.com‘s Chris Carlson, Coyle packed his belongings into the Minnesota football equipment truck which took up nearly half the street.
Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds of the locals.
To be fair to Coyle, he and other Minnesota officials apparently had no idea the football equipment truck would be used for the move.
“A University of Minnesota football equipment truck has occasionally been used to move new employees to Minnesota,” Minnesota director of public relations Paul Rovnak said. “In this situation, a different truck should have been used by the transportation company who owns the vehicle. Mark Coyle and members of the Minnesota athletic department were not aware that this truck was being used.”

At least Coyle started off his tenure at Minnesota with a bang.
