2016 Big Ten college football season preview and predictions

Purdue

It is hard to say that the Boilermakers will be able to do much of anything this year, especially after lost incumbent starting quarterback Austin Appleby to transfer this offseason. David Blough didn’t have a great time for the team at the position last year, but he is certainly looking to improve.

Defensively, they look to rebuild a secondary, as they will be depleted with the loss of corners Anthony Brown and Frankie Williams. Senior Evan Panfil and junior Gelen Robinson return as starting ends, which should give them a boost, but it still won’t be enough.

Prediction: 1-11 (0-9)
