LSU football: 5 things to watch in 2016

New leader on the defensive front

Dave Aranda left the Wisconsin Badgers for a big paycheck with the LSU Tigers and he is already making huge changes for the team that could make or break their defense. He has switched them to a 3-4 scheme, but with 10 returning starters on defense, it is hard to believe this team won’t be able to adjust very well.

Kendell Beckwith seems to be ready to lead the team from one of the inside linebacker positions, while the defensive line is the best the Tigers has seen in a very long time. In the secondary, Rickey Jefferson, Jamal Adams and Tre’Davious White all seem poised to make big plays in stopping the pass.
