UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin is one of the most inspirational athletes in college football.
After a rare birth defect led to Griffin losing his hand at age four, he was determined to never let that slow him down. On Saturday, during UCF’s upset win over Houston, Griffin reminded everyone of the passion he plays with by having a truly remarkable game.
Griffin finished the game with three sacks, a fumble recovery, and even an interception.

While Griffin’s performance in the game was incredible, perhaps his best moment came after the final whistle.
UCF shared a photo of Griffin posing with a young fan who can relate and understand everything the linebacker went through. Seeing people like Griffin out on the biggest stages in sports excelling has to serve as inspiration for the young girl and it’s great to see Griffin making such a positive impact on and off the field.
Moments like this remind you that life is bigger than the game.
