Dillon Brooks got to play the role of hero for the Oregon basketball team on Wednesday night, lifting the Ducks to victory thanks to a buzzer-beater against UCLA.
Oregon vs. UCLA was the highlight of the night on the college basketball schedule, and boy did it deliver.
Brooks’ three-pointer at the buzzer gave the No. 21 Ducks a much-needed 89-87 win which was No. 2 UCLA’s first loss of the season. It was a perfect way for Oregon to open Pac-12 play.

Oregon has Thursday off before returning to action on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena to play host to another unbeaten conference foe in USC. Of course, USC must first get by Oregon State tonight to keep its perfect record intact.
Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
