Mike Tyson: Conor McGregor Will 'Get Killed' Against Floyd Mayweather

The matchup between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather has taken the world of professional fighting hostage over the last year. Now that the fight is inevitable, and drawing ever closer, the anticipation continues to build.
In an interview with Pardon My Take, boxing legend Mike Tyson didn’t beat around the bush.
“McGregor is going to get killed boxing,” Tyson said.
Tyson interview begins at 25:17 of the podcast.
For McGregor, the naysayers continue to pile up. Nobody is giving him much of a chance against Mayweather (49-0), with Tyson going so far as to say he’d allow McGregor to fight under MMA rules.
Playing under boxing rules, the former heavyweight champ says, makes the result of this fight a forgone conclusion.

“I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy? McConor put his dumba– in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby. McConor can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance.”

Tyson mistakenly identified McGregor as McConor , and went on to say that Mayweather has never met a character like McGregor in the ring.
Ultimately though, Mayweather is too fast and too accurate, and the fight is heading toward a classic Mayweather fight which usually results in leaving a bad taste in everyones mouth.
The fight will take place on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
