The New York Yankees are preparing for Tuesday evening’s Game 4 clash with the Houston Astros in the Bronx, and they’re clearly already a little fired up and ready for action.
Earlier in the day, the rival Boston Red Sox took to Twitter to remind the baseball world of the epic 2004 ALCS play, “The Steal.”Today marks the 13th anniversary of the play which changed the tone of the Series which ultimately led to the Red Sox overcoming an 0-3 deficit in the ALCS before going on to win the World Series and ending an 86-year championship drought.
It’s an understandable moment of celebration for the Red Sox, but the Yankees weren’t going to let that go unnoticed.
Here was the Red Sox’s initial tweet:
Today's basically a holiday… pic.twitter.com/yQSXabnY1t

Harmless enough, right?
Well, the Yankees still decided to respond with an epic comeback:
Ah, work day for us. Game time is 5:08pm, if you're not busy.

The Red Sox may have come back in the 2004 ALCS, but there’s no way you come back from that epic of a burn. Well played, Yankees. Well played.
As the Yankees reminded you, Game 4 is set to begin at 5:08 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
