Bill Walton Apologizes 'On Behalf Of The Human Race' For UCLA Shoplifting Scandal

Bill Walton is one of a kind. His eccentricities have fascinated, or weirder people out for decades. Often times it’s both. But on Friday night, he made a lot of sense while calling the Georgia Tech vs. UCLA Bruins basketball game.
Just as the game was set to tip off, Walton went on a rant in which he addressed the recent botched theft by three UCLA basketball players.
Walton punctuates it with the ultimate apology.
“I want to apologize, right now, on behalf of the human race for this travesty,” Walton said.

The incident in question of course, is LiAngelo Ball and two of his teammates stealing glasses from a shopping center next to their hotel. Hard as it is to believe, three of the stores claim to have security footage that clearly shows them taking merchandise without paying for it.
LaVar Ball has remained eerily silent throughout the ordeal.
Members of the UCLA basketball team are set to fly back to the United States on Saturday night. However, the three implicated in the theft are being forced to remain in China until the entire ordeal is sorted out.
