Sports Illustrated has announced that Jasmyn Wilkins is the newest member of the SI Swimsuit 2018 Rookie Class.
The 27-year-old mode, who was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee before moving to Johns Creek, Georgia at age 14, has very strong ties to the sports world.
Wilkins is the daughter of former NBA player Gerald Wilkins, who played for the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Vancouver Grizzlies and Orlando Magic during his career which spanned nearly a decade and a half.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, her uncle is NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, , a nine-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion. While in college, Wilkins was a star at the University of Georgia and was named to the College Basketball Hall of Fame.
And it clear that athletic skills run in her family. As you would expect, “Jazz,” a former Miss Georgia, played basketball in high school at Wesleyan School in Norcross, Georgia, along with being a member of the lacrosse and cross-country team. She was the captain of the varsity track and field team.
After modeling, Jazz plans on making a career move to nursing. She is currently attending Georgia State in Atlanta where that is her major. Before enrolling at Georgia State, Jazz went to school at Clemson and South Carolina. She is represented by ONE.1 NYC.
Other members of the SI Swimsuit 2018 Rookie Class are Chase Carter, Robin Holzken, Sailor Brinkley Cook, Alexis Ren, Raven Lyn, Georgia Gibbs, Kate Wasely and Anne De Paula.
