Julie Ertz is no stranger to athletic success.
Throughout her collegiate career at Santa Clara, the 25 year old brought in a number of awards including WCC Freshman of the Year, WCC Player of the Year and All-American honors.
Ertz has also been a promising talent on the club and national scene, earning NWSL Rookie of the Year honors in 2014 and the U.S. Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year award in 2012.
But she is not the only star athlete in her family.
Her husband, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz was a standout college football player and now heading to Super Bowl 52 with the Eagles on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis as they take on the New England Patriots.
Ertz was actually playing a game in San Diego for the USA women’s national team while the Eagles were taking on the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship.
After the game, the USWNT informed Ertz of the good news and she broke down into tears on the pitch.

Julie and Zach met in college while attending a Stanford Cardinal basketball game. The two later got engaged on Feb. 26, 2016 at the baseball stadium where they met before getting married on March 26 last year in Goleta, Calif.
Zach Ertz will take the field with the Eagles on Feb. 4.
