Monique Billings is a standout player from the UCLA basketball team, who is now looking to take her talents to the WNBA where she is a projected first-round pick in the upcoming 2018 draft.
At 6-foot-4, averaging 9.5 rebounds per game, the power forward will be a great addition to any frontcourt in the league.
Along with hoping to make it in the WNBA, Billings, who goes by the nickname Mo, aspires to also play professional basketball overseas while continuing a modeling career. She is very family oriented, having the pre-game tradition of talking to her father every time before she takes the court while saying her parents are her role models.
“My mom and dad are my role models because they’ve provided my sister and me with all we’ve ever needed, always love and supported our dreams, and have exemplified a healthy Christian marriage and lifestyle,” Billings said.
She previously suited up for Team USA Basketball, playing for the 2017 USA Women’s U23 National Team and helping the team win the U24 Four Nations Tournament Title in Tokyo, Japan.
Billings also has a YouTube channel where she shares behind the scenes videos and a closer look at her everyday life.
If Billings continues to find success on the court and is as open off of it, she could instantly be a fan favorite wherever she lands.
The 2018 WNBA Draft takes place Thursday, April 12 at the Nike New York Headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. The player selection will air on ESPN2 beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET, with the Las Vegas Aces holding the No. 1 overall pick.
