Michigan State Basketball: Tom Izzo Praises Jaren Jackson Jr

The Michigan State basketball program has had its fair share of quality blue chip freshman prospects throughout the years. Recently, they’ve lured Miles Bridges and Jaren Jackson Jr. to East Lansing.
With the high-level recruits joining the Spartans, head coach Tom Izzo discussed his prized prospects.
That’s when Izzo delivered some incredible praise to Jackson, a 6-foot-11 forward.
As far as Izzo is concerned, Jackson could end up being among the best players to ever come through the program.
From FanRag Sports:

From Jason Richardson to Zach Randolph, to most recently Miles Bridges, the Hall-of-Fame head coach has several blue-chip freshmen that have shined on Michigan State’s campus.
But Izzo thinks Jaren Jackson Jr. may wind up being the best of the bunch.
“He’s potentially the best guy out of that group,” Izzo said after practice Tuesday. “He’s different than some of the other guys because of his versatility. He can pass. He can handle. He can shoot. He can play multiple positions. He’s a great kid and he comes from an unbelievable family. He’s got all the requisites.”

Jackson was the fifth-best player at his position and the No. 8 recruit in the nation, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
Expect Michigan State to be a serious contender this season.
The Spartans kickoff their 2017-18 campaign on Friday, Nov. 10 against North Florida.
