Texas football star D’Onta Foreman is anxiously waiting this week’s 2017 NFL Draft, but that didn’t stop him from taking some time to look back at his breakout season for the Longhorns in 2016 that was filled with tremendous highs and unfathomable lows.
Foreman revealed his infant son passed away last November just two months after being born prematurely.
While speaking with NFL Network’s Andrea Kremer, the 21 year old opened up about the tragic loss and the pain that he felt after the heart-breaking experience.
“I really didn’t know how to feel,” Foreman told Kremer. “I was driving and then I was crying while I was driving. I was crushed and I was so hurt. I was like numb. I felt like something was taken away from me before I had a chance to experience it.”
The NFL Network released a brief video on the tragedy:

At the end of the video, Foreman also revealed he and his girlfriend are expecting their child later this year. The due date? Sept. 16, the birthday of his late son, D’Onta Foreman Jr.
