Entire Boston College defensive line named Quick Lane Bowl MVP

Maryland quarterback Perry Hills will be seeing Eagles in his nightmares after today’s bowl game loss to Boston College. The Terrapins quarterback was sacked eight times and hurried on nearly every drop back.

The Eagles defensive line was so imposing, in fact, it was named the MVP of the game… all of them.

The 1,000+ pound MVP looked as good as it has all year and was the difference in a game which was far more one-sided than the score indicated. Boston College forced four turnovers, including an interception from defensive end Harold Landry and fumble recovered for a touchdown.

Most of Maryland’s scoring came on quick-strike, big play opportunities. They scored on a 62-yard run, a 30-yard run, a 52-yard pass and a 63-yard pass; failing to put together any sustained drives throughout the game.

For the Eagles, it is their first bowl victory since 2007 when they beat the Michigan State Spartans in the Champs Sports Bowl.

Good for them!
