Mike Vrabel's Son Commits To Play Football For Boston College

Mike Vrabel established himself as a force for many years in the National Football League.
Now retired, Vrabel makes his living as the defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans. On Tuesday, his son Tyler announced that he’ll be attending Boston College to do his own footballing.
While his father starred as a defensive lineman for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Tyler Vrabel will become an offensive tackle for the Boston College Eagles. He passed on offers from Cincinnati, Memphis, Ohio and Toledo.
Vrabel announced his decision through a post on his Twitter account.

His father eventually made the jump from defensive lineman, to bruising linebacker in the NFL. Only time will tell what happens to Tyler as he makes the jump from high school to the ACC.
At 6-foot-4, and only 255 pounds, he might be slightly undersized for the position in the FBS.
Despite his pedigree, Tyler Vrabel isn’t a can’t miss prospect the way you might expect. He’s listed by 247sports as the 229th overall prospect in the talent rich state of Texas. He appears as the 150th offensive lineman on the same list.
