Last night, a scary scene took place during the first quarter of a Washington State vs. Arizona State women’s basketball game.
Freshman Cameron Fernandez banged her head against the court while trying to draw a charge in the losing effort. She was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure and is expected to make a full recovery.
Fernandez left the court on a stretcher.
Here's hoping the Washington State's women's basketball player Cameron Fernandez, who hit her head when playing Arizona State ,is okay.

Her absence would be missed for the Cougars team, as they would lose to Arizona State 68-49 and struggled to find any kind of rhythm offensively.
Fernandez, who is a 5-foot-10 sharpshooting guard from Makawao, Hawaii. was a standout star at Lahainaluna High School and is off to a good start for her collegiate career.
There was a noticeable shift in the attitude of the fans, which was mostly students, over Fernandez well-being. With her status now mostly in the clear and her expected to return to the team quickly, the Cougars can reshift their focus to winning basketball games.
