Texas linebacker Dalton Santos decides to transfer

Texas Longhorns linebacker Dalton Santos has decided to transfer for his final year of eligibility, after having his 2015 season wiped away because of an ankle injury.

Santos announced his decision to transfer on social media this week.

Because Santos is a fifth-year senior, he will be eligible to transfer to any other FBS school without being forced to sit out a season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules. Instead, Santos can take the field immediately and attempt to make an impact at his new home.

There is no word on where Santos will end up, but we will keep you updated on his transfer situation.

Before missing all of last season due to his ankle injury, Santos played in a total of 23 games between 2013 and 2014.
