The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers previously announced the university’s football team would begin playing on teal turf — sometimes dubbed “Surf Turf” — during the 2015 season.
Coastal Carolina released a rendering of the turf when the announcement was first made.

Well, now we have even more than a rendering.
Workers recently began working on laying down the teal turf and it appears to be off to a promising start. While the teal and orange showed in the rendering led to some skepticism about just how nice the field could look, the real-life photos which surfaced on reddit/CFB give a much more promising appearance.

It’s going to be interesting to see how it all looks when the renovation at Brooks Stadium is complete.
