Don’t worry, Minnesota Golden Gophers fans. Richard Pitino isn’t going anywhere.
There have been a number of head basketball coaching jobs that have been linked to Pitino in recent weeks, including the head coaching gig with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
However, Richard Pitino quickly dispelled those rumors and the Minnesota basketball team took to Twitter to share a statement from their basketball coach.

Richard Pitino is in his second season with the university and has compiled a record of 43-28.
In Pitino’s first season with the Golden Gophers, they went on to become the NIT Champions. However, the team took a step back in 2015 and finished the year with a 18-15 record.
