Two Iowa State Cyclones players arrested

Two members of the Iowa State football team found themselves in trouble late Saturday night.

According to the Ames Tribune, Cyclones defensive tackle Terry Ayeni and wide receiver Jake Rhoads, the 20-year-old son of head coach Paul Rhoads, were arrested.

“We are aware of the situations involving our student-athletes,” Rhoads said in a statement. “We are now in the process of gathering more facts and information.”

There is no word on whether the arrests were for related incidents, but both players were released on $300 bond.

Ayeni was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.

Rhoads, meanwhile, was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
