Urban Meyer thinks Bosa should be best d-lineman in America

Joey Bosa is one of the most entertaining players on the defensive front for the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes.

With Bosa’s intensity and production, he has become a fan favorite. However, part of his success comes from a great relationship with a member of the Buckeyes’ coaching staff.

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer spoke to the media on Wednesday to address his star defense end.

According to Meyer, it is Joey Bosa’s work ethic and a relationship with defensive line coach Larry Johnson that has contributed to Bosa’s success.

“I think he should be the best d-lineman in America,” Meyer said. “He’s got a tremendous work ethic. He and (defensive line coach Larry) Johnson have a tremendous chemistry right now; the way they are working. He’s trying to take his game to the next level, which we all know is pretty high.”

Meyer continued to comment on the relationship between Coach Johnson and Joey Bosa, indicating it truly is something special.

“I can’t imagine a player and coach being closer right now than Larry Johnson and Joey Bosa,” Meyer added.
