Not only is Kentucky Wildcats star Karl-Anthony Towns in contention to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, he is proving that he is a quality human being off the court.
On Monday morning, Towns took to Twitter to voice his support for the family of Armoni Sexton.
Sexton, a 2018 recruit from Paterson, N.J., was gunned down in a drive-by shooting. Three others were shot during the drive-by shooting, but they are expected to survive.
The tragic news hit close to home for Towns, who was the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey during his days in high school.
Karl-Anthony Towns tweeted out the following.
Prayers up to Armoni Sexton's family. Gone way too soon.

While nothing can erase the pain that the family of Armoni Sexton is feeling following the tragedy, having a guy like Karl-Anthony Towns use his platform to show support will hopefully touch the family and allow others to keep the Sexton family in their thoughts and prayers.
Armoni Sexton, a freshman at Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology, was just 15 years old.
