Eagles could trade to No. 1 for Marcus Mariota

Just how bad do the Philadelphia Eagles want to land Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota?

While head coach Chip Kelly had previously said that he would not mortgage the team’s future to land Mariota, there are now reports that the team could be prepared to make a huge jump in the draft.

No, the Eagles aren’t looking at the Tennessee Titans and their No. 2 overall pick, but instead they are attempting to get to the No. 1 pick.

At least that is what comments from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen seem to indicate.

That would certainly be an interesting development.

While we don’t know where Mariota will land, it is clear that he is a crucial player in this year’s draft and where he ultimately ends up will help to shape the rest of the draft.
